Governator says: buy a new house and $10,000 cash I give you. If not I break you!

Well...not really! But California is giving easily qualified home buyers $10,000 credit towards the buying a new home construction in California. You know those new home builders, the ones that have the nice model homes, the cool little Monopoly models of tract homes, and the ones giving away free water bottles and you stashing the empties in the fridge. Yup, those new home builders like DR Horton, Centex, Lennar, etc (no they didn't pay me to mention them in my blog, but I'm always open to donations!) The new home builders are getting killed right now because the resale (non-new home) market keeps on fluctuating in price and builders can't keep up with that moving target. Luckily the California goverent heard there cries and put together this incentive to get buyers into those model homes and eventually buying a new home.

So quick and sweet. If you buy a new home in California between 3/1/2009 and 3/1/2010, you qualify. There are other finer details, but you can google it or get a hold of me.
